Your Needs Come First.
We understand that in order to make the best decisions about your oral health, you need the right information. Below are a list of our services, but please know that before we recommend any procedure, we will provide full explanations of treatment procedures and pertinent office policies.
Our Services
Comprehensive Exams
For a first time visit, the dentist will perform a comprehensive dental examination that is very thorough and will include:
-
A review of the patient's medical history
-
A complete series of radiographs
-
Oral cancer screening
-
TMJ (temporomandibular joint) evaluation
-
Orthodontic screening
-
Complete gum examination
-
Complete examination of all teeth, crowns and fillings
-
Evaluation of wisdom teeth
We advise our patients to visit us on a regular basis for examinations. The frequency of these visits is specifically tailored to each patient’s individual needs. During a regular checkup, the dentist will conduct a less extensive exam that will include many of the steps performed during a comprehensive exam in order to detect any dental problems at a very early stage and prevent their progression.
Hygiene Services
Regular oral hygiene care (cleanings) serves as the foundation for our practice. We strongly believe in preventive dental care. A regular oral hygiene care regimen will yield tremendous results for our patients with respect to their oral health as well as their overall health. We will encourage and teach you how to take care of your teeth and gums at home also. Your efforts at home will make the work that we do together that much more effective.
Invisalign
Invisalign® is a great option for people that are considering orthodontic care but do not like the idea of traditional metal braces. If you are faced with crowded teeth or spaces between your teeth, Invisalign® may be the treatment for you. The treatment uses a series of clear aligners that gradually shift your teeth into place. They are removable, comfortable and virtually invisible.
Whitening
Tooth whitening is a great way to brighten your smile. It can lighten the shade of your teeth and remove stain or discolouration caused by aging, certain medications, tobacco, coffee, and tea. We offer take home whitening treatments in strengths available only from dental professionals.
Pediatric Dentistry
We love kids! We want children to love going to the dentist! We encourage our patients to bring their children in to see us as soon as their first tooth appears in order to provide important education on how to keep their children cavity free.
Our goal is to provide positive dental experiences to all of our patients – but especially the little ones!
Cosmetic Dentistry
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are permanently cemented onto a tooth. They can be used to hide stains, fix chipped or misaligned teeth, or create a more uniform smile.
Bonding
Composite bonding is excellent for small defects in the teeth like spots, chips, or gaps between teeth. Using materials that match the shade, translucency and the texture of your teeth, gaps between teeth can be closed, spots and discolorations can be eliminated, and your self-confidence can be enhanced through the improved appearance of your smile.
Implant Restorations
Dental implants are a great option to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are placed into the jawbone below the gum line. After the implant is placed, a crown, bridge or denture can be attached to it.
General Dentistry
Restorations (Fillings)
Fillings (restorations) are used to replace tooth structure that is decayed, fractured, broken, or severely worn. Composite fillings are very aesthetic restorations since they are available in natural shades matching tooth color. Fillings do not last forever so it is essential that you visit the dentist regularly for further examinations. Fillings can develop cracks or can simply wear down due to chewing forces. The dentist will monitor the integrity of your fillings during regular exams and will recommend replacing a filling if a problem is detected.
Crowns & Bridges
Crowns are tooth-shaped caps that are permanently cemented over a tooth, in order to restore the tooth's strength, shape and size, and improve its appearance. Crowns are used to restore teeth that have been broken or are at high risk of doing so due to large old fillings or fractures. Extensive decay, injury, or root canal therapy are other situations when a crown is recommended.
A dental bridge is a set of 3 or more artificial teeth that get permanently cemented onto the teeth adjacent to the space created by a missing tooth/teeth. Its main function is to replace the missing tooth and restore its function and appearance.
Complete and Partial Dentures
A denture is a removable appliance used to replace missing teeth. Partial dentures are used to replace teeth in the situation where some natural teeth remain. The natural teeth are used as anchors for the partial denture. When no natural teeth remain, a complete denture is used to replace all the teeth.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is required when nerve tissue inside the tooth degenerates or becomes infected. During the procedure the canals within the tooth that hold the nerve and blood supply must be cleaned and disinfected. Root canal therapy can save the life of your tooth, preventing the need for extraction.
Extractions
A dental extraction is the removal of a tooth from the mouth. Extractions can be performed for several reasons including severe tooth decay or infection, tooth damage due to breakage, bone loss, impacted wisdom teeth, and removal of teeth to make space for orthodontic treatment. Our goal is to do everything we can to save teeth, and extractions are usually considered when other treatments have been exhausted.
